Dr Janaka Somarathna
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Janaka Somarathna has over 25 years of experience in healthcare. Originally from Sri Lanka, he graduated in 2001 and gained experience in orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, paediatrics and general practice.
He moved to Australia in 2012 with his beautiful family and continues to work as a GP in Exeter Medical Centre. He has a special interest in skin cancer surgeries, and is finishing his diploma in skin cancer medicine and surgery.
Above all Dr Janaka is passionate about mental health and prioritises the holistic wellbeing and emotional care of individuals, putting those in his care at ease with his heartwarming demeanour.

Dr. Deepani Karunaratne
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Deepani is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and has been working as an experienced GP in both Metropolitan and rural Australia over 12 yearsn
She completed her medical degree at Peradeniya University in Sri Lanka in 2001, gaining valuable experience working across a range of hospital specialties including medical and surgical disciplines, mental health, obstetrics and gynaecology, cardiology, paediatrics and General Practice. She practiced in Sri Lanka for several years before deciding to make the move to Australia with her husband and two daughters.

Dr. Nalinda Amarasinghe
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr. Nalinda Amarasinghe has practised as a General Practitioner in Australia since 2012, after moving from Sri Lanka with his family. He is an experienced GP, who has been working in the medical field for approximately 25 years, and is a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Dr Nalinda holds an Advanced Dermatology (Skin) Diploma, supporting comprehensive assessment and management of common skin diseases. Alongside skin health, he also has special interests in cardiovascular health and metabolic wellbeing, prostate health and sexual wellbeing, and general mental health.

Dr. Samanthi Somawansa
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Samanthi is a compassionate and approachable General Practitioner at Clayton Family Medical Centre, bringing over a decade of experience to her patients. She gained extensive experience working in hospital emergency departments before completing her GP training in Australia and moving into general practice, giving her a well-rounded background in acute and primary care.
Throughout her career, she has developed a strong interest and expertise in women’s health, with special interest in hormone replacement therapy and pregnancy care, skin cancer management, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and mental health.
